BASICS

→ Characters have not disappeared from their respective worlds. Consider this a loop in time. They were taken here from one point will no doubt be deposited back in their world from the same point they left regardless of how they leave FFVIII's world.

→ Dropped characters are returned back to their inexplicably that way if someone else wants to play that character they can bring them in as if they've never been there before. Any characters that met that character being returned can discuss with the new player whether they want to retain what happened or not.

→ No, you don't have to know a thing about Final Fantasy games to RP in Exuro. Your characters from outside the game won't know anymore than you do. So, no biggy!

All characters entering the world are being tracked by Cerebro, and teams are deployed to bring them to the closest Garden for the following protocol unless they are simply that strong/not viewable by the human eye. Every character that enters Garden or is directed to Garden is first sent to Cerebro. Cerebro plants knowledge into your characters of how to use the PHS system (the computer/internet system) and teaches them English, the Common Tongue.

→ Cerebro is also the record keeper and is completely unhackable - if you were try, it would shutdown your brain. No exceptions.

WORLD

→ Exuro is based in Final Fantasy VIII's world, and it has a lot of similarities to everyday things -- hot dogs, cars (fuel), military, television, and radio are all things that exist in their world. Unless your character had specific items on their person at the time of their entry into VIII's world, it does not exist.

→ On that same token, the main modes of transportation in VIII's world are: train, boat, and car. There are no planes.

→ Keep in mind that VIII's Internet doesn't work the same as ours. There is no Google, there is no Yahoo, there is no LiveJournal, 4chan, Wikipedia -- nothing. Your character is allowed to imitate some things as long as they aren't saying they got it from the web here, because that isn't how it works. The journal network is simply a messaging program as a means to communicate with each other; it isn't that advanced.

→ Characters can have instant messenger names to talk over and you can post those conversations in the logs community if you want, but it's not required. Those types of post do count as activity, however.

→ There are plenty of places in VIII for your character to visit. Travel is done by train or car in VIII's world, as they do not have airplanes, but there are some places that aren't accessible. Please contact a moderator if you have questions or consult the world map.

Gardens are schools that trained young teens to become SeeD, or mercenaries. They have now evolved to provide education to off-worlders. Your characters can attend school at any of the Gardens if they wish, or they can get jobs. They don't have to do a thing either, but they are given a handheld PHS which functions like a Blackberry when they come in.

GAME-WISE

→ For those unfamiliar with the term, the fourth wall has to do with some characters knowing of other fandoms and the like. Feel free to alter the name of fandoms to be similar to it so that they can have something to like in that particular genre, but the exact characters, etc. can't be mentioned. Anything that's on the banned fandoms list is allowed to be mentioned.

→ As we do not allow the Kingdom Hearts versions of Final Fantasy or Disney characters, any of these similar characters encountered by Sora are not to be mentioned while the 'duplicates' are forgotten due to the time compression. KH characters are welcome to have a sense of deja vu around the original FF people if you want.

→ If you want something from your fandom drawn into the world, ask a mod. We don't mind hearing your ideas. Please also remember, each fandom is individual and separate from all the others. Similarities are simply coincidental.

→ We are well aware that there are some characters that are capable of transcending time (i.e., Lucifer, Albedo, chaos -- the list goes on) to varying degrees, but at this time there is no way out of VIII's world. The only reason anyone canonly in RP have been able to reason for this being is that the time compression is circulating the world itself and blocks out anything trying to leave. There are not exceptions at this time. Remember, the only basis for this (regarding their powers) is that the compression has skewed your characters' memories in some ways (and it can be something small, it can be something large, but definitely those with large-scale abilities have to be limited or else we'd have everyone going back to their world, and therefore no way for them to interact.)

→ Memory skewing, what? The time compression can or cannot mess with your characters' memories as you see fit. They can remember that they died if you pulled them at the moment of their death or they can just be messed up and confused over it. It's entirely up to you. They can remember whatever you want as long as it was canonly there before you took pulled them into Exuro.

Grandfathering

→ Grandfathering, as stated in the rules, is bringing in an established character from another RP. Characters that were in Exuro Fatum previously will remember everything that happened save for the epic battle with Ultimecia. Their memories will be a little skewed, but otherwise in tact. As for characters not allowed due to fandoms being banned, they just won't remember them ever being there because of Ultimecia's second attempt at compressing time.

→ Characters do not have to come from another RP. They can be pulled directly from their storyline from any point you choose even from the point of their death.

→ If you were in Exuro's original run on GreatestJournal, you do not have to re-apply. Just drop us both an email saying what characters you want back and whether you wanna restart them or not. We'll work out everything that way!
